Description
This spaghetti all'assassina cooking class in Ostuni is yours alone: bookings are never mixed, so only your party and your instructor are there from start to finish. It begins with a welcome aperitif and a glass of local wine, while you hear about Apulian food culture and how this famous dish was born in Bari.
Then you move into the villa's kitchen and get your hands on every step. You toast the spaghetti, learn why that technique gives the dish its crunchy edge, and cook the variations planned for the session, picking up traditions and small kitchen secrets along the way.
When the cooking is done, the meal moves outside to a private greenhouse in the Ostuni countryside, where you sit down to eat what you made. The session lasts around two and a half hours and is offered in English or Italian.
- A welcome aperitif, with a wine to pick from the house list
- Water, and a dinner made from your own cooking
- A last surprise from the chef
- Recipe menus printed for you to keep
Couples, families and a few friends travelling together will all fit in. People with gluten intolerance should know the class is not suitable for them.
