Description
This wine tasting near Ostuni is held at Fantini, a wine store in San Vito dei Normanni, a few minutes from Ostuni. The setting is welcoming and familiar, and the pace is slow.
You taste six Apulian wines, whites, rosés and reds with very different personalities. A sommelier or one of the shop's experts presents each glass and explains how to read its colour, aroma and flavour, and where the grapes come from. Local products are served alongside, and the selection depends on the season and on what is available, so no two tastings are exactly alike. Water and bread are there to refresh your palate between glasses.

The experience lasts about two hours and suits both wine lovers and curious travellers. If a bottle wins you over, the shop sells the wines you tasted, along with other local products such as preserves and oil. It is a live guided experience, offered in English, Italian and German. Transport to the shop is not included, and the tasting is not suitable for people with food allergies, or vegans.
