Monument to Aldo Moro and the Fallen of Via Fani

Commissioned by the Municipal Administration in 1979, the monument was built by Marcello Avenali the following year, with the intention of commemorating the tragic event related to the figure of Aldo Moro and the victims of via Fani.

Made of steel and about 12 meters tall, the monument is characterized by the sinuous movement of its two parts, representing the tree of life split apart, with a red line inside symbolizing the blood of the victims, and stylized birds symbolizing ideals, which, despite violence and death, fly high.
