Description
The 18th-century Palazzo Guerrieri, now home to offices of the Municipal Administration, is distinguished by the portal that develops along the main facade, framed by two columns that support the balcony of the first floor. Particular attention is drawn to the coat of arms bearing the emblems of the families that have inhabited it.
Divided into two sections, on the left is the coat of arms of the Massa family, a dog with its right paw resting on a band, and on the right is that of the De Leo family, a rampant lion resting on three rocks and bearing the letter 'y' with its front paws.
During restoration work, the palace uncovered an important archaeological area dating back to Roman and medieval times.
